What's the Order?

Is there a story behind the Order? I know their board is password-locked to keep them mysterious, but are they just all the unnatural (pegasi/unicorn type deals) horses or is there something more to them? Do they have any backstory at all? (Sorry if this is answered somewhere -- I haven't been able to find it, haha!)

Also, with regards to the twins just born -- are they born with wings/horns because their parents have them, or do you guys have to purchase that stuff?

No, there isn't really a backstory to The Order. (I should write one, though.) It's basically the group of "canon"/divine characters who have certain powers, and can interact both among themselves and with the "earthly" equines. They're still in the works, however, as I made it on the whim, so some things may change later on. If you guys have any ideas to contribute, I'll be happy to hear them!


For the twins, they are both born withhorns--only royalty may have horns. Wings? That is up to the roleplayer's choice, whether or not they want to buy it for their divine character.


I'm also thinking of a contest (in the near future) with a divine as the prize, since there's only iColor and me rping in that board...

That would be pretty cool! I'd love to read a backstory/details/rules on the Order if you ever decide to write them. :D

I messaged you, but I had another question -- is any charrie with wings/horns/powers etc. bought from the store automatically in the Order? Like if I wanted to (which I don't, because I tend not to RP mystical charries ^^ could I "transform" Datura or Aster into being divine just by buying them things? Or if not, then do they stay mortal but are just... pegasi/unicorns/empowered? How does that whole situation work?

Good question. For the most part, those should be somewhat limited to only the divines--but then again, it wouldn't be that fair. Another idea is to do away with the whole power thing... What do you guys think?

I agree with this, mostly because I feel like if divine powers only take money to get, they'll become too common to really be interesting anymore. =/ -shrug- Maybe divines can buy all they want, but mortal horses have to create some kind of plot where they get blessed with the power for some reason before the player's allowed to buy it?

And I feel like the visual difference between like, having the horns/wings and having a power might be kind of important. You said only Order royalty can have horns, right? So maybe mortals gaining physical signs of divinity like horns/wings or any powers you think are too close to true divinity should be maybe banned unless the intent is for that mortal to enter the Order through some kind of plot?

(Like, I can totally imagine a plot sort of like how the Greek gods' stories are told, where an Order horse falls in love/lust with a mortal and eventually spirits them away to the Order's dimension by making them divine/semi-divine or something. :'D )

Agreed. We want to keep the positions rare/uncommon, yet not so much as that no one can get it. Mortals having to go through some kind of plot to get the power is a good suggestion. However, we should limit that kind of plotting, since everyone would soon be roleplaying just to get the powers...

Yes, only royalty from The Order may have horns. Wings are entirely up to the preference of the roleplayer and his/her pocket. xD I was just going through the Super Store items, and realized what you did: to keep the divine attributions limited only to the divines.

Solid. I love the order history/rules updates! What kind of restrictions did you have in mind for the superpower items in the store? (Just thinking it might be good to spell those out somewhere, too, idk.)

Thanks to you, I'm motivated to rewrite them, seeing that there's someone out there actually reading it. xD

For the superpower items, I'd say that members have to reach into a certain position/rank to be able to buy those powers. I'll have to work out the exact details, though.
