Mini-Contest #1: New Era

Hello all! WW will be having its first site event in a while! And not just one, but two mini contests! This thread is just the first one, the second one will be coming out soon! Mini-Contest #2! We are letting you write the board descriptions that will shape the land of WildWhispers itself! After we have enough entries, there will be a site-wide poll and you get to vote in the land descriptions you like. WildWhispers has been shaped by its members, and will continue to do so! The three lands up for your remodeling are: Killian Cliffs & Caverns (under The Ringed Mountains) Oasis of Adwelavia (under Death Desert) Abathandi Crossing (under Hidden Hearts) Just a note, your land descriptions must pertain to something of that land's "personality" - so a lush jungle for a piece of land in Death Desert doesn't really fit. Under Which Board: Death Desert
New Land Title: l'Oasis Paradisiaque (I liked the oasis idea)
Description:
This heavenly oasis sits at the southwestern side of Death Desert, nestled at the base of a particularly tall sand dune. It is shrouded at times by shifting mirages common to the region, easily hidden in shadows when the sun is still on its eastern morning course. Palm trees frame the pool of water, offering shade from the fierce desert rays. Shrubs and various desert vegetation also dot around the pool, seeking life from the natural spring.

Under Which Board: Hidden Hearts

New Land Title: Chamber of Hope

Description: Following the Temple's silvery brook upstream leads to the mother river and to the wide mouth of an old cavern cut deep into the canyon belly. The arms of stalagmites and stalactites desperately reach out to one another as lover's do when miles apart. Pining and separated hopefuls come here to give tribute in exchange for the peace that love will find them anew. The sun paints the water here a turquoise hue, shallow and filling the width of the chamber save for a rise leading to a wide, pale pillar stomped with hoof marks. Brilliant blooms and sweet smelling grasses rest upon its crown: the offerings of visitors who came before you. It is clear someone tends to this makeshift altar for each item looks and smells fresh. As to who that caretaker may be, none can say. Some suspect it to be the work of the unicorns.

Under Which Board: Killian Cliffs & Caverns
New Land Title: Dragon's Mouth
Description: Somewhere along the mountains down a narrow path is a cave that sort of looks like a dragon with it’s mouth open. Jagged rocks form spiky teeth that help give the feeling that any moment now the beast is going to swallow any who dare enter up. The land around the cave is full of narrow paths that only the sure hoofed should really venture. There are some areas with ledges farther down under the paths which give some comfort should someone fall, but that doesn’t give much comfort. Still this land is often used as a training ground to hone in how to have graceful hoofing. Overall the view is to die for as well which is proven by the bones that litter the bottom of the cliffs. Inside the cave it isn’t as bad. The cavern leads off into a tunnel that twists and turns until the hard ground gives way to water slowly building up in the form of small pools of warm water someplace deep within the darkness. In the caves these hot springs can be found in it isn’t as dark as one might assume as somehow light is able to get in from the ceiling and bounces off of small crystals found within the bottom of the pools.
